    Please help translate this feldpost

    Hi guys,

Well, I give up I've been working on translating this one for a while, and while I managed to get about half of it done myself, I'm now at the point where I have to ask for help with the rest. If anyone could help translate this FP letter I'd be most appreciative.

    Thanks in advance!

Well, I can just make out a part of it unfortunatly. But this Ostuf. (wo I assume was an older man, most likely a veteran of the first World War) keeps asking for his political awards. It seems he wants some kind of bronze and silver award, I'm not so knowledgeable of awards so I don't know quite to which he is referring. They should be patry loyalty badges for something. Seems he finds these things very important.

Here is the first half and latter half. The middle I cannot make out very well.

To the Gauleitung of the NSDAP
      München-Oberbayern
      Abteilung Dienstauszeichnung

      From: SS-Ostuf. Otto Ertl, SS-Umsiedlungskommando Feldbach-Steirmark (Austria)

      29.12.1940
      To the Gauleitung ...

I returned home by the end of august from the front and have requested the silver and bronzen Dienstauszeichnung from the local party-department. Already in october I was re-called to the Waffen-SS [can't quite read his flat handwriting here] and then back to the Umsiedlungskommando at the very lower corner of the Reich. [for me hard to read]
I assume, that the decoration will take place in a [unreadible for me ... Festrunde maybe?] within the area of München, or maybe within the larger Ortsgruppe, which will probably be more likely. My demand for the decoration will most likely have gone okay, and I would be very grateful for a QUICK [baldiger is underlined] reply, as I can plan my leave for the upcoming 30. Januar (this was a holiday back then, since the NSDAP got in power that day in 1933). I would be grateful for a response and thank in advance

      Heil Hitler

        Maikäfer-

Thanks. You were able to give me a bit more info and help support my theory.

This individual was awarded the Dienstauszeichnung in both Bronze and Silver, and my original guess was that this letter was either a request for, or an inquiry regarding his eligibility for those awards. Along with this feldpost, I have three separate official letters of certification that verify his time in the SS and NSDAP.

If anyone else wants to take a stab please do!

        Thanks again for your help.
