    Help Soldbuch KM

    Hello to all,

I wish to obtain your help to define the text exact which appears on this stamp.

    Dienstsiegel..... Robbe ??

This stamp was affixed at the beginning of 1943 in a Soldbuch of the Kriegsmarine. Beforehand thank you.

    Cordial greetings.

It doesn't make sense to me, but it looks like:

    Dienstsegelnacht "Kobbl[enze"]

Is "Kobblenz" an older variation of Koblenz? Koblenz, in the Rheinland-Pfalz, is on the confluence of the Mosel and Rhine rivers -- so would a "Night Sailing Duty" [???] ship/boat be named "Kobblenz"?

The top "rocker" looks something like *Fried--marine*

Just a couple of thoughts to stir around -- maybe they will help generate a correct identification.

        Hello Guy,
        Thank you for your answer.
I think that Dienstsegelnacht is correct. Meaning ?
I do not think that it is about the Koblenz's name. Only five letters. Robbe
or Kobbe ? Maybe the name of a boat ?
        I continue my researches ;-))
        Cordial greetings.

          Hi Polux,

Tricky one! Are there any more entries to give us a clue around the same date?

          Regards,
          Ian

            Hello Ian,
            Thank you for your message.
After some researches on Internet, I maybe found a possibility for this stamp the presence of which I do not understand in this Soldbuch.
I found the Gruppe Robbe indication = name given to a group of several U-Boot.
On the other hand, do not I understand the meaning Dienstsegelnacht ??
You will find enclosed images of the pages 24 and 28 of this Soldbuch.
For information, the holder of this document ended his military career in your magnificent country : Loch Eriboll on May 11, 1945 ;-))
            Cordial greetings.

                /Ian

I checked all the serch engines and could only find one mention of "dienstsegelyacht" -- and that is on page 10 of a Bundeswehr newsletter in pdf showing the dienstsegelyacht "Asta":
                  http://www.bundeswehr.de/portal/PA_1...gelyacht%20%22

... which is just a racing yacht. Wonder what a "dienstsegelyacht" was during WWII?

And when I search "segelyacht robbe" I keep getting hits for a model company that makes ship models.

Here's something from Wikideutsch about the Segelyacht "Lulu":
1939 leistete er sich eine Segelyacht namens „Lulu“, meldete sich freiwillig zur Kriegsmarine und nahm an der Grundausbildung der Ergänzungsabteilung Wilhelmshaven teil.

                  http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Servais_Cabolet
So possibly the "Kobbe" or "Robbe" (or "Kobbel"/"Robbel") would have been used for initial entry naval training?

                    Hello to all,

Ian and Guy, thank you for your help.

I think that the registration of the stamp is well Dienstsegelnacht. I think that the term segelnacht is very close to the term segelyacht. I hope that an amateur of sail will be able to bring us more preciseness.

I think that it is about a sailboat wearing the Robbe's name. This sailboat had to be of use to the people of the Marineschule Wesermünde to make their learning for the navy for sail.

To end this article, you will find an image of the holder of this Soldbuch, a small harmless document but which has its importance and two stamps which are going to determine the membership of this soldier of a very particular unity of the KM.

                    Cordial greetings.
