    Aide! Soldbuch Livret Individuel et légitimation D'Identité!!!!

    Heres something for our French speakers......a dual language Soldbuch in French (Wallonie!) and German.

    Now I can understand the German but I do not understand the French!!! Could someone please help with the written French?

      Personal details of Garde Fermin Denuit.

      I can tell that he was born 28.11.1908 in Clabecq and that he was a married catholic.....then I can not make out any more!

      Could somene please tell me what his profession was? Also the written entries on page 3? Figure, Visage, Cheveux etc.

      The FP No. belonged to 1 Kompanie, Wallonische Wach Abteilung II which was based in Charleroi, Belgium.


      Proffession: peintre = painter

                Late but..

                Hi,


                It is a soldbuch from a Wallonian Guard enlisted men. A para-military organisation which performed guard, sentry duties etc...

                The Flemish counterpart was the Flemish Guard (Vlaamse Wacht in Dutch).

                Some things i've managed to figur out:

                Occupation: Painter (like said in previous reply)
                Grade: Garde
                Figure: 'Stretched'
                Hair (Cheveux): 'brown'
                Eyes (yeux): Brown (?)
                Special characteristics (marques speciales): 'something with the left eye'
                Wife: Renée ???? lives in the 'Rue Terre Neuve' housenbr 126.

                This street still exists in Brussels and is located in the very center of the city.

                  great Soldbuch. Here some more info.
                  Gestalt : Allongé = elongated
                  Gesicht : ovale = oval
                  Haar : châtain = chestnut
                  Augen : brun = brown
                  Besondere Kennzeichen : cicatrice à l'oeil gauche = scar on the left eye
