    coded dogtag

    hello

    we found this dogtag today in a wood in northern austria

    without bones! also 5 other dogtags more

    but we can not read the codenumber

    210950 ??????

    maybe you can help me

    Isn't that 9 or 6 in the end?
    There is no 210950 on MOB list but 210956 and 210959 are FJ codes

          but this will be not all on this place

          i couldnt find anything about history of this unit

            • Obstlt Otto Laun, 4.45 - 5.45
            Formed 9.42 with 3 battalions (III. from III./Fallschirm-Jäger-Regiment 2).
            In April 1944 III./FJR.4 was used to create the 5. Fallschirm-Jäger-Division, by becoming I./Fallschirm-Jäger-Regiment 14. A replacement battalion was soon created from the rest of the regiment.
            Organisation:
            • 1942: I. 1-4, II. 5-8, III. 9-12, 13, 14
            Saw action independently under 7. Flieger-Division, but from May 43 served with the 1. Fallschirm-Jäger-Division:
            • Russia (Rzhev, Vyasma), late 42 to early 43
