does anybody know which unit this might be:

2./IDN 269

My first guess was 2. Nachrichtenkompanie I.D. 269, but I´m not that sure about it.

That's a pretty interesting disc you have there- a divisional signals unit can't be common at all. I found a tiny website reference on the 269. ID:

This says that the signals unit was actually Nachrichten-Bataillon 269, which would be the standard designation, however I can't find any better definition of 'IDN'.

Since it's not a replacement unit disc, I'd bet the soldier to whom this disc belonged was part of the unit from its creation. Can you send me a picture of it- I'd love to see it.
