Officer Wehrpass Books

Hi Robert,
My two cents on this would be that one can not give an absolute answer to your question with out interviewing the officer himself - even the records can be inaccurrate. I have seen incorrect assignment listings in officer personnel files that were never corrected even after 2 years.
Typically, the attendance of an officer at a formal training course would be arranged in advance, but one can not rule a last minute assignment if a training slot was to unexpectedly come open, as in the death of the previously selected student.
The first entry concerning the Regiments-Fuehrer detail could have been planned as a little OJT, but it also may have been ad hoc, again as a result of the injury or death of the commanding officer.
Your best resource for answering the questions, if the officer has passed away, is to check the unit records for any possible mention.
