This is one of my first Soldbücher, issued to Thorwald Scheuermann in 1940. I've had it for over 30 years. It's a bit beat up but I guess you will see why I keep it.

Hi Jeff,
No RKT but interesting all the same! I do not have my first Soldbuch which I bought in 1980 as it was pretty boring to be honest, however that was not what got me into collecting these....it was my second one whicn I bought 11 years later.
That was interesting in many ways, initially he had joined the Army and transferred to the SS in 1944....also he had belonged to one of the few Artillerie Divisons that existed during the Third Reich......
Here's a description as I am not at home at the moment...for a change
Soldbuch to SS Sturmmann Franz Kumerer.
Issued 11.2.1940. Served with leichte Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung I/262 in Hollabrunn and Znaim, 1942 to Artillerie Regiment 139, Nachrichten Abteilung 139 part of 39 Infanterie Division, 1942/43 in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on">Holland</st1:City> (<st1:City w:st="on">Vlissingen</st1:City>), <st1:country-region w:st="on">Russia</st1:country-region> (Charkow, Dnjepr), Nachrichten Abteilung 310 part of 310 Artillerie Division, 1943/44 in <st1:country-region w:st="on">Russia</st1:country-region>, destroyed August 1944 and formed SS Korps Nachrichten Abteilung 112 part of 12th SS Armeekorps in <st1:City w:st="on">Holland</st1:City> (<st1:City w:st="on">Arnhem</st1:City>) and <st1:City w:st="on"><ST1Aachen. 2</st1:City>0.11.1944 wounded by bullets and died 28.1.1945.
Has photo of holder in SS Sturmmann uniform. Also received the F******252;hrergeschenk but no awards mentioned.
Also with:
Wehrmacht-F******252;hrerschein dated 1.7.1942 for Class 3 and 2 vehicles. Has photo of holder in Gefreiter uniform.
Here's a thread regarding the difference what a few years makes from his photos!!!

What unit was Herr Frontzek with? Is that a transport clasp I can see in the photo?

Jeff-
Great Feldherrnhalle Panzerjäger Soldbuch. As a collector of “Feldherrnhalle” Soldbucher and Wehrpassen, this is one I would be happy to have in my collection. You've got a great book to a soldier who served in I.R.271 (entries made pre-August 1942, before the unit was granted the Feldherrnhalle title) and as of January ’45 was with Panzer-Grenadier-Ersatz-Bn. “Feldherrnhalle.” Chock full of FHH stamps, too. A beauty- I love it!
I recently added a nice late-war FHH Soldbuch to my collection, issued on June 28th (my birthday ) 1944 to a young soldier who wounded in late December fighting in Budapest.
My first SB is a great one, too, issued to a solder who fought with Panzer-Grenadier Regiment 79 in Stalingrad. I’m quite fond of it.
I'm always looking for FHH books, so if you ever decide to sell...
Thanks for sharing.
Rob

Ian,
He was promoted to Leutnant on Dec. 1, 1944, after the photo was taken. He served with several Verb. Staffel, Gen. Kdo d. Fliegerkorp VIII and later with several HG units, with his ersatz unit being: Fsch. Ers. u. Ausb. Brigade "H.G." He had the Frontspange f. Transportflieger in Gold.

I have an FHH Wehrpass and I have seen a lot of others. Apparently, a bunch were stolen at the same time from the archives.
My question is - why would anyone specialize in FHH? It wasn't really an elite unit except in name. Do FHH collectors just want to collect something different from the LAH-GD-Fallschirmjaeger crowd?
PS Nice Soldbuch - Jungco.
