Please help me translate this SS document

    Hi guys-

I'm having some trouble making out a few entries and abbreviations on some documents I am currently researching. These all belong to an SS Obersturmf******252;hrer who served first in the SA, then the SS, and eventually with Volksdeutsche Mittelstelle (which became SSHA-Volksdeutsche Millelstelle - or VoMi - circa 1941).

Any help deciphering and translating the 1st, 2nd, and 8th through the 11th lines would be most appreciated!

    Thanks in advance.
    Rob

If anyone else wants to take a stab at the bottom please feel free

          Thanks!

Eingesetzt-VDM am 31.10.40 ( the guy was used "as a" or "by the" VDM on october 31 1940) VDM = ?

            Verf. (Verfolgung?) = criminal prosecution
            Verf. (Verfahren?) = criminal procedure

Grd (Grd = Grund = reason): Körperverletzung = malicious wounding

gemäß § 47/i KStVO wird von Verfolgung abgesehen = following § 47/i KStVO no criminal prosecution will be taken

            KStVO = Kriegsstrafrechtsverordnung

It may be that the guy commited malicious wounding to a person that was not protected by the german law of the time...You can imagine yourself what this means ...but this is just a guess. It could be of help to find out what the "§ 47" says.....

            Hope this helps a bit....

            Cheers

            Fritz

Please excuse my bad english. Hope I can manage to get the meaning across!

              The german text:

              "Verf.
              Ge(?)d: Körperverletzung
              gem[äß]. § 47/i KStVO wird vom Verf[ahren]. abgesehen"

The "Verf." is probably the same abbreviation as the one on the last line.

              "Proceedings
              Ged (?): Assault/bodily harm
In accordance with § 47/i KStVO [Kriegsstrafrechverordnung] proceedings will not be instituted."

              Hope this helps a bit!

                Fritz and Folkert-

Your assistance is greatly appreciated. I would never have gotten this one on my own.

                Thanks again,
                Rob
