Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have been fortunate enough to be offered this little group from a private collector in Germany. He has a wonderful collection and was very kind to sell me this lot to expand my Arnhem collection. I am indebted and wish I could provide something in return. The group was his Arbeitdienst book, Reichpass, Soldbuch and Wehrpass but I will only show you the last two.

He was never wounded during the war but did see the inside of a hospital a couple of times.

The award is for the kriegsverdienstkreuz II Kl. mit Schwert. He was only in the hospital once but was transfered to a second hospital for the same problem. Read the dates zigzag and see he was released form one hosital on 27 June and entered the second hospital on the same day. Hospital code 16 = Glandular problems
