    Help needed on Soldbuch entry

This week I bought a nice Soldbuch for a Gebirgs Veterinär with 4 additional pictures.

While entering the Soldbuch on my site www.DeutscheSoldaten.Info I ran into the problem that the place of birth could not be decyphered, at least not by me. So .... may be someone else has an idea ....

In case you haven't visited my site yet (big chance .... ) I am trying to set up a site that can hold the information about German soldiers. Everyone can enter information about a person. The regular information (name and dogtag) can be entered by anyone. The specific information (Ranks, Birth, Units, etc) can be entered by anyone, but only modified by the person who entered the information. Multiple entries are possible, so the award document information can be entered next to the Soldbuch/Wehrpass entries or information found in modern books, even names found in tunics can be entered.

You can find the person the Soldbuch belonged to under the Person registered under the name Plenert, Otto

At the moment over 6000 names are listed. I hope that with many contributions the site can be used as a reference to find information on a specific soldier.
If you take a look and have some thoughts on the site or have alterations that can improve the site, please tell me.

So now for the Soldbuch entries ...

Here is the place of birth

Also the rank that he got when he first entered service had me puzzeled.

    I guess it states Kanonnier

After that is says Gefreiter, Unteroffizier and the last one seems to be Feldwebel.

Please tell me if I 'm wrong about this

Kan. = Kannonier is IMO correct.

The name of the place of his birth, I read as:

      Heidenpiltsch, kreis Burn

At the moment this is a place in Tjechie. Perhaps he was Sudenten German?

        Hi Necker,

Thanks for the reply. I added it to his birth details.

On 11.6.1944 Plenert was hospitalized. I can't figure out what he suffered from. Perhaps you can also help me with that.

I searched the net for a list of Krankheiten as used in Wehrpasses and Soldbuchs but did not find any. I know the book on Wehrpasses from a couple of years ago has the list in it, but I can't find it in my still packed boxes. Does anyone have this list?

        MfG,
        Bart
