My initial thoughts are I do not like the entry in the Soldbuch....not so sure about the Wehrpaß without seeing other pages, however that I am suspicious of!!!

What does the Entlassungsschein say? Does it not say he left service prior to the entries on page 12?

I would like to see more pages of the Soldbuch if there are any entries also page 2 when it was drawn out and by what unit?

            Regards, Ian

Too quick, posted before you had finished!!!

Well block 26 says he was dischared a.v.H. or fit for labour service only in the homeland.....this possibly could account for him being transferred to a KZ...however it says discharged 23.4.1940 from Sachsenhausen...the same stamp is used when he rejoined 13.6.1941.........Lookingh at the entries the Wehrpaß was obviously issued after he joined the SS and in 1941......the discharge papers clearly show him as a SS-Mann and the photo as a SS Sturmann.

I still do not like the Soldbuch...the Nr.der Kriegstammrollen should match that in his Wehrpaß which it does not....
Also I would not expect to see this entry for Sachsenhausen as a field unit! (Feldtruppenteil) but as a replacement unit (Ersatztruppenteil) in either section B or D....

Can you please show more or the Soldbuch?

              Regards, Ian

                Hello Ian,
This is the info I have been given....
                Sept. 1939 he joined 3.SS-T.St.Thuringen
                Nov.1939-April 1940 served at Sachsenhausen
April 23, 1940 discharged as unfit for service
June 1941 re-joined and served with same unit
July 1942 transferred to R.u.S. Haupamt SS
No entries in either SB or WP past July 1942, as R.u.S. Haupamt was part of SS Fuhrungshaupt Amt under Himmler's jurisdiction (not part of Waffen SS), therefore SB no longer required.
WP photo - rare brown SS tunic only worn by KZ guards
                Price is $1000 usd
                Does this make sense?
What specific pages should I ask for copies of?
I believe the price is high, but is it within reason if the grouping is legitimate?
                Thanks in advance,
                Roy

The SB was issued Sept 7, 1939
The WP was issued May 20, 1941

After seeing the other pages the Wehrpaß looks OK but don't know about statement regarding not having a Soldbuch after 1942!
Maybe it was his original Soldbuch issued 1939 by "Thüringen"....after his discharge they might not have used that one again...no idea.

To be honest any pages with entries in the Soldbuch would be interesting?

Price wise what are we paying for here.....a KZ member?
I can't honestly comment on the price as KZ items don't interest me....maybe another forum member can!

                    /Ian

                      Thanks Ian,
I'll try to get more photo's of SB entries.
                      Cheers,
                      Roy

Dates for the documents sound right....maybe the stamp in the Soldbuch is OK but I just don't like the look of it or the handwriting for the Stammrollen....obviously it is his original Soldbuch.......

                        Ask for a scan of page 1, 2, 3, 20 & 21...........

                        /Ian
