These documents were with the body for 5 years and discovered in 1950, perhaps that will explain their condition but I am not sure if the story holds true! Perhaps!
Any documents found today I would expect to be in a far worse condition! If at all legible! FCG still finds remnants of these items!
I know the 32 SS Rgt. items were found in a crate and also many documents to the 116 Pz.Div. "Windhund" were found in an ammo crate....all showing conditions of age...some recognisable....some not!
