D-DAY 's Solbuch - Interesting unit

Hi,

Just won this nice book related to one of the unit which
faced the Allied on D-DAY.

The HQ of the GR 916 (352 ID) was located at TREVIERES
(closed to the OMAHA BEACH sector).

Lucky on D-DAY,he fought in Normandy (note the Normandy frontzulage entry) and then he get the wound badge
on July 1944.

Interesting Soldbuch Jean-Yves,

As you will no doubt know, Grenadier Regiment 916 was destroyed in Normandy.
The Feldpost Nr. 15496 on page 21 dated 21.VI.1944 belonged to Gruppen-Chefarzt 3/I Kriegslazarett-Abteilung 528 R which was stationed in Nancy from 1943 and 1944/45 under Oberbefehlshaber West.

Trévières was not a place to be on D-Day and I think most of troops left this town on 10.06.44.
