Unfortunately there is no way to answer your question without more information. It would be like trying to answer the question
"what is a German badge worth"? Value will depend heavily on the following:
1. The unit(s) and time periods the man served in. From this we can get a good idea of which actions he participated in ( i.e. the low countries, Crete, Leros, Monte Cassino, Africa, etc )
2. Awards: Was he awarded the jump badge? If so, when?
( only about 35,000 of the men who served in "paratrooper" units were actually jump trained ). What types of valor or campain awards are there? This will make a huge difference in price.
3. Condition: Is the book complete? Has the photograph been removed? Is the photo anything special ( i.e.wearing camo gear, head gear, etc ( which was against regulation ) )
There are many variables to consider before being able to determine an approximate value.
