Hello Ian, You are right, but it's more a matter of writing. Could it be he spelled his own name wrong?

It is written the way you say it, but I never heard of writing a Y with to points above it. But I could be wrong.....

There's no one listed on the Gr******228;bersuche with that name, however do a google search and there are a good few entries with the umlaut!
I have seen this before but not familiar as to why.........anyone?

Very strange indeed!
The Umlaut is very strange. I thought first it was Meijer, but this isn't possible, if you look at the letter under the Umlaut
