what does the snowflake mean on Dokument?

Hello!
I have got a Dokument of "Ostfront".And there is a small "snowflake"(or star)sign after the code "No.08556" on the left underside.I have heard that means somthing about Winter battle,isn't?
I would like to make sure of it.Thanks for your help

I have never heard that. I think this is an "asterik"...and being next to this mumber, I am guessing that it is just a notation that has something to do with the printing run (which I think this number represents).....but again, I am just guessing.

honestly to say,this "asterik" Sign isn't surprise to me.It appears also on a Filter of mine.I hope like you saying,it is only a printing .that makes easy to me.

It's just an asterisk, a common punctuation mark, like this *

it has nothing to do with winter or anything like that.

i have a few off these docs but can find no snow flakes on any

Doug, if you look you'll notice that this is a variation printed up for the XII Armeekorps. Clearly they simply took the standard doc, went to a printers with the added rank etc. and had them serial numbered as well.


It's just an asterisk at the end of the serial number, that's all. No snow flake.
