    LW Soldbuch Info

    I recently acquired a Luftwaffe Soldbuch and would like to know more information on the soldier who once possessed it. More specifically, what sort of unit he served in. Anyway, on page 4 of the LW Soldbuch it has a blue inked stamp witht the posting:

    1. 5. 41. Ln. Komp. (mot.) KG 54

    Can anyone tell me what sort of unit designation this was? Thanks in advance!

    Based on your description it appears to be a datestamp " 1.5.41 Luftnachrichten Kompanie (motorisiert) Kampf Geschwader 54 " or 1.May 1941 Airforce Signals Company (motorized) Kampf Geschwader 54.
    I believe this to be used to datestamp received or sent messages.
    Of course I am receptive to other explanations.
