Wonderfull group, show us more about this man if you have, nice to see that he was a civil doctor prior being promoted to military one, but I see a paper that stated a promotion to Arzt and this is not notated in his Wehrpass.

Dug out two after years of storage. Sorry no scans. The first is a Soldbuch to an Oberstarzt who was the chief medical officer for Div 269. Later medical officer for Div 290 and VIII AK. Also did a stint with Korps Hohne further on. Nice awards Demyansk Shield ect... Hmm, let me see what else...okay, another one to an Lw Oberstarzt who served in both Lw Feld Div's 3 and 6. Both doctors were also long serving officers having served at the front during WWI.

Was'nt there a WSS doctors wehrpas posted very recently on this section of the forum or the paper & docs. section of the e-tables?

As I reached my 1000 + posting, it is perhaps nice to show you one of my favourites.

Soldbuch of Julius Schutz. Entiteld to the Iron Cross 1st and 2nd class (2nd class awarded at the SS-Polizei division), Winter War Medal, War Merit Cross 2nd class.

What is very interesting, is that on the picture in the soldbuch he is wearing his officers peacked cap, which was against the regulations.

Hw was called up for active service an served 1939-1945 as a medical officer at the wehrmacht. His latest rank was Oberstabsarzt (Major). Till 1943 he served at the staff of artillery units, 1939-1940 with Artillery Regiment 300 of the SS Polizei Division operating in Poland. September 1940 parts of this unit (including Schulz) were transferred to Artillery Regiment 235 of the 298 Infantery Division (Kuban, Charkow, Kiew). 1943-1945 he served as medical CO at POW camp Dulag 132 (Durchgangslager 132). till mid 1943 at the Eastern Front in Russia and than, mid 1943-March 1945 operational in Italy for allied POW's (most British). 1944 he was also in command of a hospital in Italy with a large POW hospital section (Ospedale Civile Mantova). According to the letters from British soldiers (POW's) at the hospital, Schutz was a very kind and generous person who did a lot for the prisoners.
