Soldbuch with names of his comrades??

    Hello,
    I recently bought this Soldbuch.
I has a very special detail. At the page of his ranks , there are 10 german names of males, with the entire adresses? I assume that it are adresses... or are it units? I can't read it well.

At the front of the names, are 2 numbers.

I don't think that it happens in wartime, because he wouldb't be able to use that page anymore, and because it was illigal. Perhaps, when we was POW?

    Does anyone reconise the numbers?
Could it be Feldpost numbers,or... POW numbers, or...

I hope someone has some idea's!

    Greetings,
    Frank!

      Hi Frank,

No Feldpostnumbers, one number too many.

Looks like it was done during his POW time.(as a soldier it was not allowed to use your Soldbuch as an address book, or use it for your own writings)
I too have Soldbücher with such information.
Could be his POW camp inmates living in the same shet or hut.

Your info gives name, place, street and number, for others same info but nearby city / town too.

      yours

i believe it too cause i had something like that .
That lad was in a pow and he probably wrote his friends addresses so that once they were out of the camp he could know where they lived and meet them

yes he would probably be court martialled if he did that during the war.
Nice entries, I have never before seen this page used as a contact list.
          Interesting.

            It's A Guess...

I'd say it's a possibility they're telephone numbers -- if anyone has a copy of a Telefonverzeichnis from the 1940's, you could see if the manner of number grouping ( i.e., XXX XXX) is the same. If this is correct, it would make a very interesting research project...

              Hello,
That's indeed an interesting idea. Could someone perhaps help me with the names? Than I can check that out first

              Thanks!
