Hi all, I just bought a very expensive panzer soldbuch and need help with some units. The first question is Feldpost number 41295 for the award of the EK 2 in 1941, what unit is this for? He seems to be active in Pz Nach. abt. 33, was he a radio operator in a panzer or just in a truck driving around? He was wounded in 1943 with a 31-A, and transfered to many units. One other unit is: 1.Pz. Korps-Nachr.Abt 448. He was awarded the EK2, Pz.K. abz "silber", Ostmedaile, Verwund abz in schwartz. He also saw service in Nach abt. 88, 87, Nachr. ers.abt.34 niederlahnstein, Nachr. ers. abt. 34. I hope some of you cab shed more light on these units. Thanks.

That FP Nr. belonged to 1 Kompanie, Panzer Korps Nachrichten-Abteilung 448.
31a meant that he was injured by bullets.
Not sure as to what role he would have taken...I have a couple of Pz.Korps Nachr.Abt. or Pz.Nachr.Abt. Soldbücher and they are wearing black wrappers in the photo also awarded EK's and Pz.Assault in Silver.
Because of the Pz.Ass. I would have thought he would have been for a short while at least a tank radio operator!?!?
