That's what I was reading. Now lets see if we can get some info on him.

Can anybody provide any input on Major Josef Vierbacher, Luftwaffe (either Flight/ Para or Flak)?

The name does not show up as a casualty. Although the name is different there are three Josef Vierbachs who do show up. It may require checking with the Wast.

Vierbacher is a German name and there are currently 18 listed in the phone book.
