Doug,
Thanks for the additional scans. Looks like he served in a post war quasi military police arm. First time I have seen that particular entry. I do have SB/Wps's that show employment entires by the Allied occupation forces for various types of work. I still question the Feldj******228;ger Kommando der Luftwaffe entry, but maybe something will turn up.Last edited by Edward; 11-28-2005, 06:44 AM.

In the literature, one can read that feldjager must have at least the Iron Cross 1st class. I don't believe in that. Why pulling back the most brave men from the front and put them in duty behind the frontlines. I have a wehrpass from a member of the luftwaffe who was with Feldjager Regiment 3 from 10 February 1944 until 9 Juni 1944.
That's less than half a year. I think he became perhaps sick or wounded, but this is not written in the pass. On the 8 July 1944 he became a member of the Sonderinspection II (Jagerstab Nordhausen). I believe the V2 project was than still under the authority of the Luftwaffe. On 1 September 1944 he was transferred to the SS because the SS took over the V2 project.
Why so short with the Feldjager Regiment? Another reason could be that the frontlines were very shortened and they did not need the amount of men they needed in for instance 1943.Attached Files
