Hello, I recently purchased an erkennungsmarke, and was hoping someone could help me with the identification. It is made of aluminum.

Well the only way for us to evaluate its authenticity fully is to see it, so posting an image would be best.

Are you sure the marking is exactly as you wrote it? The 'K' doesn't make sense to me. The rest would be:

1./ Panzerjäger-Kompanie Großdeutschland. I'd wonder if the 'K' is actually an 'E' which would stand for Ersatz (replacement)- that would make more sense.

Unfortunately 'interesting' units like Großdeutschland are faked a lot, so it would really be important to see the disc.
