Feldpost number help requested - please.

    Hi,

I have just received paperwork containing three potential feldpost numbers. They are:

    1) 11990 (DATE: probably May, 1942),

    2) (I. b.) N. I 17761/42 (April 1, 1942'), (may not be FP #)

    3) 43068 (DATE: July 26, 1941' to May 1, 1942').

    I appreciate the help.

        Hi fellas,

Thanks for the help. Here's the document the numbers came from. I hope you enjoy. Help deciphering page 22 would be appreciated.

          Nr.2 isn't an FP number.

I think the entry you're refering to says something like
Sanitäts offizier anwarter zum (?) Heeresamt ....
ie. it refers to him become a medical officer aspirant

I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm barking up the wrong tree.

            FP help please

            Hello Simon,

Thank you. The photo postcard supports that conclusion as do the other entries in the wehrpass.

Our man is the first in the left column. His right shoulder board is purposefully propped up and reveals an offizier anwarter stripe. He removed the left shoulder board for that photo.

The wehrpass reveals that on May 14, 1942, he was then transferred to "Heers - San-Staffel Berlin, 4.Studentenkompanie". The last two entries on page 12 reveal that he became a medical offizer.

Thank you very much for your help.
