      Hello Steve,

Interesting doc. Could you please say how long you have had it? As you may already know, some time back many of these exact same docs were stolen from the Berlin Document Center and sold on the market. I maybe wrong, but I believe it happend sometime during the 80's.

      Regards

I have had the document for about a year. No, I am not aware of stolen documents from the Berlin Documents Center. Checking the internet it would appear that Party personnel records, Himmler letters, etc. were the items involved. Are you peddling Himmler documents?

          Steve,

Interested due to the story behind them as many came on the market around the same time during the 80's and were sold by a number of dealers. Collectors who know the story probably buy them regardless, but considering how they came on the market I steer well away from ever wanting to own any. I do not collect Himmler, Kz...yuck. Nor SS docs in general as they are IMHO way overpriced...not a few fakes about too. Sorry, I am not a peddler, but have built up an honest collection over many decades.

          Regards

            SS Ausweis

            Hi Edward:
Like you say, I am also an honest collector who has also built up a collection over a number of years. I think these IDs have significant historical value and it is of great interest to understand how these various Nazi organizations operated.

Thanks for your interesting posting to this thread.
            Steve
