SS Unterstürmführer "Kasino-Ausweis" and "Haus Sphinx" card:

Dear fellow collectors! I am new to this site and I was introduced to it by a friend, Øyvind, some time ago. So now I had to register as well. I have a few questions regarding a SS “Kasino-Ausweis” that belonged to SS Unterstürmführer Kurt Fielitz from SS Ersatzkommando Norwegen. I wonder if anyone knows anything about the places this ID gave permission to visit? With the Kasino-Ausweis I also have a card to “Haus Sphinx” in Dronningensgate 6 here in Oslo. German authorities really liked to keep track on EVERYTHING, because here it says that “Geschlechtsverkehr darf in diesem hause nur unter Kondomschutz…”, in other words: In this house you use a condom when you have sex, and you must also fill in “Name der Partnerin”, name of the girl you have sex with. So my question is, as no one here in Norway have been able to help me with further information, does anyone know anything about these “Kasino” places and who were these girls German officers could meet for this kind of relationships? Well guys, just imagine if I had dropped over the entire “Haus Sphinx” archive That would have been some interesting reading for sure

IMO....The Kasino Ausweiss is the equivalent of an officer's club membership card for SS officers and police leaders. The "Club Sphinx" obviously catered to more base activities. It was probably a locally owned brothel controlled and monitored by the military.

House of Sphinx were inded a whore house and casino. I have talked to a Norwegian SS officer who were in that house, what he did there is another story.

HeHe Well, it is only ”one card pr. girl”. So each time officers met girls at “Haus Sphinx” they had to fill out a new card with “Name der Partnerin” – name of the partner. I guess this is just one of many “perverted” ways of controlling everything and everyone… as the Nazis were known to do. But on the other hand: This way you could easily find out who were the spreaders of a disease and who got pregnant with who, for who knows how good quality German pre-1945 condoms had!?!?

But just imagine Torsten, to find the box with the entire “Haus Sphinx” archive Guess that information were on a Reichsarzt
SS und Polizei-need-to-know-level.
