Let me see if I have this right:

Gisela here worked in the Advertising Department of the German Law- and Economic Sciences Publishing House G. m. b. H. (Gesellschaft mit beschraenker Haftung - business concern with limited liability). Right?

      Frau Streubel!

Herr Doktor Goebbels vould like to see you immediately in his offices! Undt... he says you are to wear that little waitress costume he likes so very much...

Indeed, Margaret here was a waitress at Dr. Goebbels Propaganda Ministry! Note the "Kasino" designation.

The good Doktor was quite the ladies man!

Jeez Ralph! All I ever had were people like self-employed laundry washer-folk who lost their businesses during the Depression!

How long have you been skimming the cream of the crop?

          I'm still looking for..

          ...Heinrich Hoffmann's assistant's Arbetisbuch...

Seriously, it has been my experience that a lot of people judge these books literally by their covers only; i.e. the type of eagle. The work record is usually ignored in favor of this superficiality, leaving the best pickings to those who "inquire within".

Does anyone else have an Arbeitsbuch from an interesting concern?

I know of one for sale that belonged to a "civilian flight instructor for the Luftwaffe" (Fluglehrer/Flugzeugschule C Landau), an occupation he retained throughout the war.

          Might just pick it up....

            I wish I could...

How does one "inquire within" when he can't read a lick of German?
