    Help with Kriegsmarine Officer Soldbuch

I have got a WW2 Soldbuch and also the soldiers WW1 book that looking for some help understanding where he has been.

What I think so far is he finished with the allied equivalent rank of Warrant Officer and was taken POW at end of the war and released in 08/45.

I think the units he was with were coastal artillery based in regions of Norway/Denmark and Baltic states.

Has certainly styled himself on AH going by his soldbuch picture !!

Can you guys please give me some more information on his locations and awards or anything else you think is interesting from the pretty full set of books ?

    Thanks
    Gary

From mid 1942 until early 1943 he was in the Marine-Flak-Abteilung 233:
      Marine-Flak-Abteilung 233

      Flakbatterie Klaminka (3 x 8,8-cm Flak)
      Flakbatterie Pritter (3 x 8,8-cm)
      15 Flakleuchtgruppen

      Kommandeure:

August 1939 Kapitänleutnant M.A. Dr. Gennerich

Dezember 1940 Kapitän zur See Axel Loewe

      März 1945 Korvettenkapitän Dipl.-Ing. Kufner

After that I see he was assigned to a replacement unit, maybe after he recovered from a wound or from a desease. Unfortunately I can't read the entry at page 23 made on 17.2.1943

Thanks for all the information guys....you provide excellent help for the “unskilled” like me. Is there any information that shows if he was awarded any medals or was signed off to use specific weapons ?

He clearly has 3 medals as you can see him wearing a ribbon bar in the photo. They should be mentioned on page 4 which you have not included, however if they pre date the Soldbuch or are WWI they may not be mentioned.
