Here is the Werhpass of Erich who also fought not that far from my region. He was in the 14th infanterie division in infanterie regiment 101. The battlelist is very detailed.
It came with a nice portrait photo of him and also his pass photo is very nice in uniform.
On the eastern front he was KIA on 19/12/43, but before that he was injured on 14/9/43. I cant read the last word of his injury: granat splitter rechter hand…? TRANSLATION: grenade shart right hand…? Can someone help me with this?
What I find also very interesting is that his father was also KIA in the first World War on the western front in 1917, wich makes this even more personal.
His last promotion on 1/12/42 he became oberfeldwebel
He earned:
the KVK second class with swords, iron cross second class, black wound badge, dienstauszeichnung der Wehrmacht 4th class and eastern front medal.
I cant figure out what it says behind his iron cross citation on page 23. R.T.B. ? Can somebody help me with this? Because I’m still a little bit new to this…
Maybe also a little help with page 19, about what it says on top of the page of the kriegsmarine?
Also interesting is his service time that was listed on page 26. He was up to a 12 years of service wich ended in 1946, but ofcourse he didn’t made it.
For the rest, enjoy the pics and any help is welcome!
Greetings!
