Nice grouping... but I shall be grateful if you could give me the two
FpNr. which are stamped in your Soldbuch.

The first under the portrait looks 00431.... but it could be 00472 which for me is OK as it is identifying MAA 280 which was a unit in St-Nazaire !

The second one on the awards and decorations page.

Funny but I have the feeling that the picture is not part of the Soldbuch... and I would love more information on stamps..

Thanks for the words of approval everyone Here's the first photo of the feldpost #'s, and after a closer look you are all right in that it's only for the KvK.

The stamp on the portrait. Would seeing some other page help determine the numbers

Everything is clear for me now.

                          This is the Marine-Artillerie-Abteilung 280 (MAA 280)
under the command of Korvettenkapitän Hans LUTHER.
                          1. Batterie was located at Pointe St-Gildas
                          2. Batterie was located at Pointeau
                          3. Batterie was located at Fort de l'Eve
                          4. Batterie was located at Batz-sur-Mer
                          5. Batterie was located at Préfailles

FpNr. is 00472 E (E for 5. Batterie). So I guess he was at Préfailles.

                          Regards,

                          Jean-Yves NASSE

Yes indeed there are all in the St-Nazaire aera.

Préfailles is at the bottom of the map.. on Pornic's left !
