    Wehrpass Uboot U-158

    Hi toghether,

I got this nice estate of a member of U-158 which was commanded by Erwin Rostin.
Rostin was awarded with the KC during his second patrol.

Has anybody further infos about the sinking of the boat. I found that the was hit by a depth charge which jammed in the tower and as the went down it exploded.

    Thanks alot

        re u-158

        Hi Ralf,

I have the following infos, It was spotted, June 30, 1942, 200 nautical miles west-northwest of Bermuda by a device from the U.S.N. (Lt R.E. SCHREDER) part of VP-74. Crew members of U-158 sunbathing on deck are caught completely off guard. The plane attacks and launches depth charges. One lodges in the massif and explodes when the U-Boot dives. U-158 is destroyed. He is lost....all the best...Hervé
