            Hello !

I don't think this soldier was in France already in 06/44.
This unit stayed in the Netherlands until mid August 1944 under LXXXVIII. AK., also confirmed by the battle calendar.

I was just trying to explain, why it will be very difficult to answer your question, but then I found the following :
From Tessin since 13.8.44 onward, Fest.Pi.Stab 15 was subordinated to Fest.Pi.Kdr. XIX, which in turn was subordinated to a
            "Baustab Nord".
According to a book on the 91. Luftlande-Division (written by Forum member Steinberg100), Baustab Nord was a temporary
designation for Arko 116, the Artillerie-Kommandeur 116 of roem. 80.AK (led by Gen.Maj. Fritz Kortüm) :

According to a FMS report (B-006) by the Kom.Gen. Fritz Beyer, the task was to survey and fortify positions along the Marne,
from Tergnier to Chatillon s.M., in the area of Reims.
(The part of the position South/East of Reims was controlled by the remnants of the Stab of 5. Fsjg. Division (Gen.Lt. Wilcke)).
            (see scan).

Because of the lack of manpower, equipment and time, the fortification of the positions was never finished and the LXXX. AK. had
to retreat to the Bitburg - Trier area.
If you are interested in the retreating battles via Southern Belgium and Luxemburg, you can find some infos and maps on those
here (SB to a soldier of Schnelles Regiment von Fritschen) :
