    Hi James!
    It is an original cross maker Roman Palme, Gablonz, quite common to find in the collector market.

    It seems like it has been polished for not so long ago.

    Very good and sharp pictures I have to add.

      Polished - yes! The old lady had this and an Iron Cross 1st class laid out with her late husband's British medals and appears to have polished them all regularly.
