    Hi Douglas

I was very interested in this "S" signature on the ring.
I've never seen one like this. Is it possible to take better photos?

    Beautiful B-Type!

    Regards
    Jarek

IMO you have to see if the "s" also appears on the back little ring.
If yes, it would only be the imprint of the vice with which the ring was probably closed or for a particular process.

Well Max ... with help tried to see if a 'counter' mark was on the other side . Sown so tight together was not able to see much of the back side .
That was something I thought of when I got it and looked for one . ... cutting it open and removing it entirely I just could not get myself to do .
The jump ring seams to be made of the same material as the frame ... soft wearing metal - silver .

          Jarek ....
The camera I got does not take good pictures .... and the autofocus covers too large of an area .... have to use the cardboard for focussing .

Don't worry Douglas, it was only an hypotesis.

You know better than me the EKII production process changed during the war, and this type is an early model, probably made by Deschler, and probably at first they held her by the small ring.

Thanks a lot for looking behind the ring of this precious decoration.

Here's one I had on a bar that was, alas, lost in the fire.

                      Nice first type ...
... but protect the core - as the paint scratches off easily as can be seen on many .

Sorry Douglas, but I don't see "S" signature on these photos

Thanks Douglas for your reminding, I'll be careful.
