    DKiG - 20 - Zimmerman.

As a treat to myself for being good this year I decided to try my luck and make the step up from collecting Iron crosses by getting a German Cross in Gold.

I'm quite confident when it comes to identifying EK2s and I'm competent when dealing with EK1a but due to the issues with the search engine on this site I have to admit I'm struggling to do my usual in depth investigation/research on this Zimmerman DKiG.

I got it for a good price as it was described as having wartime repairs and the rivets have obviously been messed with but I still think it's a good un but as always I would like to have it approved by people who know far more about these awards than me.

Please let me know what you think of this beautiful looking medal.

Thanks for reading and your views/any information you would like to share about it will be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

Thanks for your quick response Wim.

It is a great relief to hear that you thinks it's good. I had been quietly stressing about this one as its not my usual area of collecting.

          Thanks Thomas.
Something about this cross made me go full out to get it without the usual due care and attention that is necessary when you buy items of this price.
I am vey pleased you think my choice was good.
