    EK1 , strange material and stamp

    i have this one forabout 30 years but never had some info about it
    why is this made in this kind of material ,
    i think it is post war but why in this material

    Indeed a fake post war piece. Looks a copper based alloy.

        Just a bad fake.

        Why the material. Who knows. Maybe its What they had. Maybe it was easier material to work with instead of iron.

            Same fake as the old L/17 Round-3 type but using an incorrect gold content stamp (normally 585 for 14K) in a probable further attempt to fool early collectors.

              I have an identical one (Including the stamp) from the early 1970's, then they were called "The Polish fake" maybe that's where they originated from
