Ek2 128 strange frame

I would like to share this interesting specimen, it has a strange frame
Has anyone noticed this before?

The excess material in the corners is normal on this maker. I can't tell you why it looks black though. Maybe something with the lighting? Do you have the cross? if so it would be interesting to see a close up.

The core looks repainted though.

IMO this the piece not the best in condition ,but IMO this isa good original S. Jablonski

on these pieces they usually the inner frame corners ,we are they machined afterwards (grated, ground )

I agree, good Jablonski's cross, but unfortunately inept repainted

my favourite maker, however their cores are often found with faded black paint. No one can be surprised that somebody wanted to fix that - surely not the best solution though.
