any thoughts on this KC? My gut tells me its a dud. esp the height of the numbers on the date.

I trust that Dietrich did not mean to write so broadly.

There are other crosses (such as the so-called "Sedlatzek cross" - likely made by Souval and sold by Sedlatzek) which were manufactured during the period but not proveably used by the government for award purposes. When he says "original makers", I believe he meant "official makers".

Normally, I would be reminding him of this at the MAX, but an unfortunate and unpredictable sequence of events has prevented my attendance this time.

Dietrich is absolute right. Study the original known Markers, buy some good Books, read the Ton of Threads about KC in this Forum and most important, post everything you like to buy before you buy it here. So you will not loose Money as we all did in the Years we collect.
