    Ek1 l/11

I humbly request vetting of this EK1 for piece of mind (mine). It looks like it was made yesterday... too good to be true? Pictures have been taken in shade, and sunlight. Hopefully, good enough to vet. If not, please let me know.

    Thank you,
    Chuck

An absolute beauty. It's an authentic Deumer, the reverse is exceptionally well preserved

Chuck, you’re cross is in very, very nice condition. And, I see that you are handling it without wanting to tarnish it with bare fingers/hands. All of this is complimentary on your part. You may already have knowledge on what humidity does to the surface of EK’s. If not, it’s worth finding out. Even moderate humidity, over time, can turn the polished surfaces of this crosses rims to a grayish hue. It’s disheartening to see this happen. So, I say this for your benefit. And, forgive me for speaking something you may already have knowledge of.

                Respectfully,
                Robert

Your sage advice is greatly appreciated Robert, thank you. I'm more of a helmet collector than EK's, but when I saw this one I couldn't resist. I received it today and it looked so darn good in hand I began wondering if it was real. Hence, my thread here. Would it be beneficial if I tried to find the appropriate case to place/store it in?

Chuck, IMO it would only add to its collectibility, desirability and value with the appropriate case.

Thanks again Robert. That's a beautiful cased L/11 you have in the link provided.

If anybody can point me in the right direction to finding a nice case for this cross it would be much appreciated. This could be addicting.

Also appreciate all comments provided above, thank you.

Deumer is not my favorite maker:
                            1, the body is thin,
2, the weight is light (14g? bad hand feeling),
3, the front black paint looks oil (not look like mm1/mm20/mm65),
4, the edges of the swastika and 1939 are not shaped (round corner, not straight).

however this example seems the front black paint is looking like mm1/mm20/mm65, how to say it?
this kind of paint + stone mint = very nice one !
screwback L/11 is my favorite item. hope i can find one in mint condition !
