Heavily patinated EKII - can someone tell the maker?

Hello,

I got this heavily patinated EKII of an unknown manufacturer along with other awards of the former mounteneer.
They were mounted many decades ago on a walking stick which also shows carvings of the places he fought at during WWII.
No markings visible on the EKII ring.

Can someone say something about the maker of this EKII?
