I appreciate your input having scanned threads I found some confusion as to where, left or right , the 900 1 should be ....? As a complete amateur on KVK/RK KVK the detail looks very good.I appreciate all your input and time gents

When and how was it established the 900/1 is correct, rather than the 1/900 or possibly both?

Originality is not a question of stamps or the location thereof. It is a question of an original die. When has it been established? Latest with the publication of “The War Merit Cross 1. Class and Higher Grades.” By the way, Deschler had (at least) two stamps for the 900.
