I picked up this very nice frosty Einzelspange for the EK2. Can anyone help me with a makers ID?

What is the reason that these W&L crosses are so good preserved finish wise ? Did they use a extra good type of frosting on these crosses ?

There's a good thread about it here. The finish found on certain makers won't tarnish unless the surface is disturbed.
