    Iron Cross EK1 question

    Hi
I have recently acquired a Gendarmerie Officer tunic, and it came with papers to show he was awarded an EK1 in 1944. The cross was not included with the tunic.
I Would like to find a suitable EK1 to fit on it, but I have no idea if I should be looking for a particular type.
Can anyone give me some advice please. I am not particularly bothered about a rare or sought after maker, just the correct type and era. The tunic has Medal loops on the pocket, so I guess a pinback would be the answer.
    Thank you
    Brian

    Hi Brian ,

    Congrats on the police tunic!

Yep any 39 Eki will fit but a mid-late war would suit ,being a fussy bugger I'd probably go for a marked/domed one so it would sit nice in the breast loops but one with nice even patination would look great also and of course an unmarked one would be fine as its for a tunic.

    Cheers mate

A 1944 awarded EK1 would be maker marked with a PKZ number.

              I didn't say 1944 awarded!
