EK2 display case

Picked this up on the weekend. The guy I got it from said it was a coffin display. Anyone heard of this? The case is old and very professional and the medals have been in it for a long time for sure. Any and all comments welcome.

For some reason I have a hard time believing he story.

There should be an ek2 clasp in the case instead of an ek2 1939....

yes I agree with Ben

the crosses original ,but IMO thes the items not related.
I never not buying story ,(of course this is only my opinion ) only items. the story possible interesting ,but not proved.
