Unmarked Mayer EK1 for opinions

Hi everyone,
I have attached an example of an unmarked cased Mayer EK1 and was curious about the general consensus on whether this unmarked pin configuration would be considered early war? Certain threads on the forum have really helped including this discussion on the Mayer timeline: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...yer+ek1&page=5.

However I am still unsure and would like to hear your thoughts on this piece. I have seen a sets similar to this online with the same case paired. Whether these cases are considered early I am not sure?

Yes on the earlier side .
1st core and has a 'crimped' anchor .

Regarding the case, have any forum members often come across this type paired with these non-horde Mayer crosses and so believe it to be a correct pairing? I know this is a hard question to answer.. I saw the case paired with your early coined silver example was similar to this also Douglas. I have attached additional images of the case itself.

Hi Douglas,
sorry the only image of the interior I have is the one in the initial post. I should have the cross in over a weeks time though. It seems promising, I am happy to have another variant of these nice Mayer made crosses not related to the horde.
