    K&q rk

    Hi Guys,

Just got this one in and wanted to make sure it is ok please? I believe it is an earlier K&Q cross with the less matte paint. The loop has been replaced a long time ago with one in silvered brass wire which is stamped 800 vertically which is a little weird so very probably a post war repalcement.

The ribbon is very nice and heavily worn with an elastic neck band. It only has 22 loops to the white band and normally I would consider 23 plus as definite WW2 but this in hand I am sure is a wartime ribbon and an earlier one as it has some orange weave to the red band.

Anyway hope you like it and I've got it right!

    Thanks for any opinions.

    Best regards,

    Patrick

A correct period K&Q. The loop appears to not match as you have stated. Very nice specimen. -Ger

Thanks both I had thought the earlier ones had this type of paint and the later ones had the matte paint- must be the other way round in that case!

Here is a picture of my early K&Q cross and you can clearly see that there is no flaws on that one.
