          The one on the right is ground dug or something? The condition seems very deteriorated.

              Very nice pieces. These are the best designs.

              I doubt the short-vein is a Juncker piece but it is a lovely Juncker-style Spange.

                    Finish, materials, die details: these all speak to a different maker for the short-vein. My thinking hasn't changed since this article, but it has solidified in some areas, notably the recognition that Juncker was a supplier of dies or components to other makers (e.g. Deumer and IMME badges), so it would be no surprise if they also supplied some dies to make Spangen. One day I should update this text but for now I will just post it in answer to your question. This is a small portion of a much longer and heavily illustrated article discussing every Juncker Spange variant from this issue of Dietrich's magazine IMC.

                        Thank you! I wasn't aware of this article so it was an interesting read. If any other maker was in the mix my money would be on W&L.
