DKiG cloth + citation Regimental Commander

    Hello gentlemen.
Today I was very lucky to aquire the huge estate of Oberst Eckstein, Commander of AR131 and surviving Stalingrad veteran with AR83.
After the war he went in Russian captivity and returned home in 1955 from Russia.

The estate has never been before in collectors hand.

Amongst the estate is his (punched) citation for the German Cross in Gold and a clothed German Cross.
As awards are not my field of interest, can someone tell from the pictures the maker of the German Cross ?

    Regards, Matthias

Hi Matthias: Hard to say with only this photo. At first sight seems to be a Juncker Type 2 (with the two die flaws in the number 9).

As far as I know all genuine cloth DKiG have a Juncker style wreath, no? I believe Juncker was the only supplier for these. Within the cloth DKiG 's are about three manufacturer variants I believe.

                  Hi Wim,

someone at the German MFF said, very few cloth DKiG wreaths were made by Deschler.

                  Regards, Matthias

It's possible, I don't know. The book about the German Cross tells me that the majority of cloth DKiG's have the second style Juncker wreath.
