    Flock hisotry

So my L15 is more like the one here that is up for debate. Can someone tell me the history of the Flock type crosses and this one looks like its in the not known category or its still debated by some.

The cross shown is 100% a Floch fake. Johannes Floch is a German guy who bought postwar-made EK1s and other things from Austria in the 1960s and sold them in America when he was a high school student. His name (unhappily for him, I imagine) has been associated with the fakes although he apparently had no hand in making them and supposedly sold them as copies back then. He's still around and is a super nice guy.
    Best regards,

Great detailed thread. Is there any collector value to a flock cross? The one I have is very well made.

This Floch's frame EK we meet in many very well made copies of EK1 and EK2 crosses, often in combination with original war-time cores (these crosses so-called "Frankenstins").

There is an article with great descriptions and detail in the sticky "Pinned" section on this forum home page.

it will walk you through the floch stuff, and what to look for.

looks like this cross is a classic "Floch"
