A Interesting Cross

I was going thru some of my things and came across this IC 1st class.It came from a veteran many years ago.The cross is brass core and was worn around the neck of the veteran who I got it from for good luck I did not notice until recently that there is a Initial and name scratched in the back with the date 25/12/42.The name is hard to read because of the solder and it is very faint so I cannot get my camera to focus on it.Thanks Jay Parisi

The iron cross is an early W&L with a non-magnetic brass core.

Yes an Early W&L indeed with 1st frame and core die .... a bit messed up now
